Meal Planning & Cooking Techniques for Healthier Living

This workshop, taught by our dietitian Lindsey Kane, teaches the skills you’ll need to prepare food in a healthy way. In a small group setting, you’ll get a lesson on why some techniques are better health-wise than others, watch demonstrations of specific techniques, enjoy a tasting of 2 recipes made on the spot (see what they are below!), and receive take-home recipes so you can practice on your own. 

Specifically, you will learn:

  • Key nutrition concepts that create a healthy plate
  • Simple meal planning strategies
  • Healthy (and sneaky) cooking tips and tricks
  • How to add flavor without adding extracted oils, refined sugars, and salt
  • Steam "frying" 101: how to cook without oil
  • Ditching dairy: how to create creaminess without cream, milk, or butter 
  • Treats that satisfy your sweet tooth and nourish your body
