Drawing on insights from medicine, nutrition, and Chinese Medicine, this class will teach you how to use food to handle what menopause brings. Through a fun, hands-on cooking class, you will learn:
- Which foods and herbal formulas alleviate hot flashes, night sweats, headaches, fatigue, insomnia and mood swings, and which foods make them worse
How to prevent weight gain or lose weight associated with hormonal changes
How to get specific nutrients through your diet to maintain bone density
You’ll also come away with recipes and how-to knowledge to bring these lessons into your day-to-day life. This will be an excellent opportunity to ask questions from the teachers -- our cofounder (a Reproductive Endocrinologist), our holistic nutritionist, and our acupuncturist -- about how to deal with menopause holistically.
